CWA – Frontier Contract Negotiations

Bargaining Report # 42

January 23, 2009

Both Bargaining Committees caucused separately today, Friday, 01/23/09.

The Union resumed its review of the Company's 01/22/09 "full settlement offer," and started preparing counters to several, unacceptable Company proposals.

Due to the dovetailed and intertwined provisions of the Company's proposals, the Union will take whatever time is necessary to make certain nothing detrimental is inadvertently overlooked that could cause irreparable harm to the membership.

The Company's increased attempts to bring these negotiations to a close are irrelevant to your Bargaining Committee, whose only concern is a fair contract.

The parties agreed to extend the contract until 11:59 PM on Monday, 01/26/09.

Both parties will be available to resume negotiations on Monday, 01/26/09.

For those of you whose jobs the Company wants to permanently eliminate,

their primary concern is: every day you're still here, you're costing them money.

They should try treating employees the way they expect customers to be treated!
